Chapter 3: 1984: Ye Shall Go Forth

Operation Clean Sweep was fought from July 7-13, 1984, in which we prayed to “seize control of all money and goods that God’s enemies plan to use against His people.” As I wrote later in a report on August 17, 1984,

“At the end of the prayer campaign on July 13, during the battle for Corpus Christi, we gathered up some of the spoils of war . . . including one of the Beast’s treasuries, where he kept much wealth that he had stolen from God’s people. Now this present campaign [Ye Shall Go Forth] is in some ways a continuation from where we left off July 13.”

From August 20 to September 3, 1984 we were led to conduct another prayer campaign called “Ye Shall Go Forth.” The name was taken from the King James Version of Malachi 4:2,

{Malachi 4:2} 2 But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

The purpose of this prayer campaign was to lay foundations for the Open Door Ministry, in which we expected to be sent out to foreign nations with the Gospel of the Kingdom. The theme was: “The Riches of His Glory among the Nations.”

We related this to the Elijah Ministry to “restore all things” before the coming of the Lord. This also had a financial side to it, in that we seized the financial resources of the enemy in order to use it to spread the Gospel of the Kingdom to the rest of the earth.

In early revelations about this prayer campaign I received Isaiah 49:6- 9,

{Isaiah 49:6} 6 He says, “It is too small a thing that you should be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make you a light of the nations, so that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.” {Isaiah 49:8} 8 . . . “And I will keep you and give you for a covenant of the people to restore the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages, {Isaiah 49:9} 9 Saying to those who are bound, ‘Go forth,’ to those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves’.”

About these verses, I wrote in a report at that time:

“They involve the Elijah Ministry and the Open Door Ministry. Elijah must first come and restore all things (Matthew 17:11). But that is a ‘light thing’ (too easy). We shall also be a light to the nations, that we may be His salvation unto the ends of the earth, representing His Body, doing His works, and things greater than He did while on earth.” (John 14:12)

I also received a word from the Lord on August 17, 1984, saying,

“This is indeed a time of great importance, for as I lead you, so will you go out into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. You shall be My witnesses to all who hear you and to all who do not.”

Back in 1984 we did not yet see the bigger picture which became more apparent many years later. In 1984 we were still approaching the 120th Jubilee from Adam (October 13, 1986), and the work of the Net of Prayer was to call the Church to prepare for that great Jubilee. The call was for believers to commit themselves to five years of intercession and spiritual warfare, beginning with the first warfare on November 12, 1981.

We certainly understood that the Church was not responding to the prayer call, but we hoped that the overcomers who DID respond would be able to do the work on behalf of the Church. We discovered that they could indeed do a lot, but they lacked the spiritual authority to complete the work.

Many years later, I came to realize that this lack of authority was because “King Saul” was yet alive and would not “die” until May 30, 1993. So the Davidic company did much of Saul’s work, but in the final analysis, David was not yet king and could only do a certain amount of Saul’s work.

For this reason, Ye Shall Go Forth could only lay foundations for a future time, which appears to have begun August 17, 2008. On August 31, 1984 I had a vision accompanied by a word from the Lord, in which I saw a red dragon that had dominion over much of the earth. I saw God’s people tried and tested by this dragon, after which time they overcame him and were sent out with the blessing and power of God.

The foreign phase of this battle had already begun on Aug. 29, and so I asked the Lord how the battle was going. My report reads,

“Lord, show me how the battle goes in Africa. I then see a map of Africa. Then a brilliant light set over SOUTH AFRICA. Not an explosion, but more like a light bulb. This light moves up the eastern coast of Africa. . .

“My Kingdom of Light shall be established, and the darkness shall be pushed back, never to reappear again. . .”

Other things the Lord said in regard to the “greater works than these shall he do” (John 14:12). I was quite astounded and asked, “Lord, how is this possible?”

“I establish My word this day by Luke 1:37.”

I looked up Luke 1:37 and read it: “For nothing will be impossible with God.” This was about Mary giving birth to Jesus, and I found the next verse just as significant:

{Luke 1:38} 38 And Mary said, “Behold, the bond slave of the Lord; be it done to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

When I saw this, I could only repeat Mary’s words and agree that nothing is impossible with God.

I then wrote further about the vision of the prayer army moving north from South Africa:

“About the African campaign . . . the first part of the revelation appears to be in the immediate future; that is, it should be fulfilled BEFORE we see the full effects of our campaign, which deals with RESTORATION. In other words, darkness first, then restoration. . . Thus, RESTORATION begins with a few, then spreads to the many. But as it begins with the few, the manner in which it is done sets the pattern for the future work to the many. This should hold true both in the spiritual warfare and the actual fulfillment in the world, which will involve the OPEN DOOR ministry.”

Although the expected Open Door Ministry did not begin in 1984 as we had thought, this was because we were still in the time of King Saul’s authority and jurisdiction. The Church under Pentecost had to be given its full allotment of time in which to fulfill its calling. No amount of prayer was going to change that, whether or not we understood it.

However, the barley overcomers began to be separated from the wheat church the following year (1985), and then, as we came to see, God began to work with the overcomers to accomplish what had been offered to the church. After years of labor, establishing foundations, we finally began to see the fulfillment of Ye Shall Go Forth prayer campaign in 2008.

August 17, 2008 saw the start of Operation Elijah. The last phase of the prayer campaign in 1984 had gone from August 29 to September 3. It was almost as if that prayer campaign were applicable in 2008, because the next day, September 4, I took the plane to South Africa, where I ministered for nearly a month.

This appears to have been directly connected to the prayer campaign of 1984, and so the word of the Lord at that time should be applicable in 2008:

“You have opened the heavens around the world in all the key places, and wherever My light shines through to the earth, there shall be Green Pastures. Green grass does not grow in the dark. Neither shall Green Pastures grow up in the darkness. My light shall shine forth, and My Kingdom shall stand forever.” (Sept. 14, 1984)
